In The Only Women in the Room, Benedict tells the story of the glamour icon and scientist, Hedy Lamarr and her pre-Hollywood life as the wife of an Austrian arms dealer during World War II, and her groundbreaking invention which revolutionized modern communication. Three prior novels, written under the name, Heather Terrell are, The Chrysalis, The Map Thief and Bridget of Kildare. Marie Benedict is a lawyer and a graduate of Boston College and the Boston University School of Law. She lives in Pittsburgh with her family.
