BILLY O. WIREMAN ROOM, 102

As a tribute to Dr. Billy O. Wireman, president of the University for 24 years, the Trustees of Queens provided a reading room for students at Everett Library.  The room is outfitted with furniture and other memorabilia from Dr. Wireman's office in Burwell Hall. 

 

CENTER FOR STUDENT SUCCESS, 105

This study room seats 6 and is only available when the tutors from the Center for Student Success are not using the room. 
 

CHARLES HADLEY ROOM, 107

The Charles Hadley Reading Room in Everett Library honors the legacy of an extraordinary professor and beloved man.  Decorated with items which adorned the walls of Dr. Hadley's office for 50 years, the space provides a quiet area for students to enjoy.

STUDY ROOM, 109

This study room accommodates four people. Students may bring mobile whiteboards in for personal and collaborative work.

ULTRA QUIET STUDY ROOM, 201

The room number is 201 and is located on the upstairs level. No talking, cell phone use, or group study is permitted in this space. Come check it out, quietly! 

 

ADELAIDE DAVIS COLLABORATION LEARNING ROOM, 207

The Adelaide Davis Collaboration Learning room was made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Library and named in honor of Queens alumna Adelaide Davis. 

 

CONFERENCE ROOM, L11

Conference room located on the lower level. An iMAC is available in this room. 

STUDY ROOMS, L12, L13, L14

Individual study rooms with access to power outlets and iMACs. 

 

Maker Spaces

COLLABORATIVE LEARNING CENTER

Made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Library at Queens, the Collaborative Learning Center is a vibrant space with comfortable seating and white boards. 

THE SOUND STUDIO, 204

Students have access to voice and instrument recording through Garage Band software and our Rode Podcaster microphone. Mac software available includes iMovie and Final Cut Pro for Video editing.

THE PRESENTATION ROOM, 206

The presentation room is equipped with a large TV display that allows students to practice presentations and work on collaborative projects a computer with the Adobe suite.

 

Labs

LIBRARY INSTRUCTION LAB

Located on the first floor of Everett, the Library Instruction Lab offers fourteen computer stations with internet access, research services, and software applications. The lab is open for general student use through the day except during specifically scheduled classes. 

iMAC LAB

Fully equipped with iMac computers and scanner, the iMac Lab provides software, research, and internet access for graphics editing, word processing, and a host of other applications.  Located in Everett Library’s basement, the iMac Lab is free for student use except during regularly scheduled classes.
