2020 Book and Author Events
Conversations with the Authors
Monday, March 2nd, 6:30 pm -8:00 pm, $45 per person

McInnis Parlors, Burwell Hall
Enjoy conversation with our featured authors and other Friends of the Library,
followed by brief remarks by our special guest authors. 
Wine and light appetizers will be served.


    Book and Author Luncheon
Tuesday, March 3rd, 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, $60 per person
       Morrison Dining Hall

Wine reception begins at 11:30 am followed by a noon seating for lunch
featuring presentations by both authors.


Featured Authors 

Kate Quinn, 
Kate Quinn is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of historical fiction. A native of southern California, she attended Boston University where she earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Voice. She has written four novels in the Empress of Rome Saga, and two books on the Italian Renaissance, before turning to the 20th century with “The Alice Network” and “The Huntress.” All have been translated into multiple languages. Kate and her husband now live in San Diego with two rescue dogs.


Bruce Holsinger, The Gifted School

Bruce Holsinger is a novelist based in Charlottesville, Virginia, where he teaches at the University of Virginia. He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship. His third novel, The Gifted School (Riverhead Books) was called a “a suspenseful, laugh-out-loud page-turner and an incisive inspection of privilege, race and class” by The New York Times
