What Is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?​

  • If Queens University of Charlotte does not have an article or print book in its library collection, students, faculty, and staff may request the library to retrieve it from another library.​

  • Queens also lends out its materials to other libraries.​

  • In general, only articles and print books are available through interlibrary loan (ILL)

How Long Does ILL Take?​

  • Article requests:​

    • 5-7 business days​

    • Usually delivered via email​

  • Book requests​

    • 10-15 business days​

    • Delivered via US Post

How Much Does ILL Cost?

ILL is almost always free for users. However, if a request is not complimentary, the patron has the option to pay the compulsory fees charged by the lending institution. All patrons will be advised prior to request submittal.

Are There Copyright Concerns with ILL?

The Everett Library observes standard interlibrary loan practices and adheres to appropriate national and state Interlibrary Loan Code and Copyright Law.
