Fall Workshops

Everett Library Fall 2025 Workshop Series: Foundations of Academic Research

This fall, Everett Library will offer a recurring workshop designed to introduce students to the foundations of academic research. Held six times throughout the semester, this session focuses on helping students develop effective research questions and use the library’s online databases and digital tools to create effective keyword searches to locate and evaluate credible sources.

Due to ongoing staffing limitations, the library will not be able to offer in-class instruction for Roadmap or First-Year Writing courses this semester. As such, these workshops will be your students’ best opportunity to receive essential library instruction. We strongly encourage you to incorporate one of the workshop dates into your syllabus and require attendance to ensure students gain these critical skills.

As always, students are also welcome to schedule one-on-one research consultations with a librarian for additional, personalized support.

The workshop schedules can be found below, or at this link for the QMP 100 class
