What is a Law Review?

A law review is a scholarly journal that focuses of legal topics and issues. Law reviews or law journals may concentrate on a particular subtopic of the law, such as labor law, or it may be more general and include articles on many different facets of the law. In the United States, law reviews are published by law schools across the country by groups of that institutions top students or through a bar association.

Using Google Scholar to Find Law Review Articles

1. Go to Google Scholar.

2. Click on the menu bar, then "Advanced search."

3. Type in your search terms, where appropriate, and ask Google Scholar to "Return articles published in" either "law review" or "law journal."
