Federal Digital System (FedSYS), produced by the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO) produced by the U.S. Government Printing Office (GPO), is the finding tool for federal publications that includes descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online.  Users can search by authoring agency, title, subject and general key word or click on "Advanced Search" for more options.

There are literally hundreds of thousands of federal government publications available online.  To find these publications you may want to try a web search engine specifically for government documents:

  • Google US Government Search
    Google's specialized search engine for finding government documents on the web. 

  • USA.Gov
    The federal government's official search engine.  USA.Gov also offers a comprehensive web portal to federal government sites.
