eBooks

Everett Library subscribes to several different eBook collections. Search them by using the search box below.

You can also look at Overdrive, the Libby app (which works with Overdrive), and hoopla for eBooks that are more popular titles.

OverDrive

OverDrive is a collection of e-books and digital audiobooks which can be downloaded to your computer, tablet, (including Kindle), or mobile device.

OverDrive e-book titles can be read online using OverDrive Read and audiobooks can be listened to online using OverDrive Listen. Streaming video is also available! Mobile and tablet customers, download the OverDrive app for iOS and Android. Users can check out up to 10 items with a maximum 21-day loan period and place holds on items that are checked out. You can return items when you are finished or they will be automatically returned when they are due.
Hoopla

First time users must create a Hoopla account by clicking "Get started today." You will need to enter your name, email address, and create a password. Then you will need to choose your library (select Charlotte Mecklenburg Library) and your library card number ( q + Q-Card ID number). If you are accessing with a tablet or smartphone, you will need to download the free Hoopla app for your device.

Hoopla allows patrons to instantly borrow e-books, comics, audiobooks, music, movies and television. It also features an automated service that returns your item once your time is up. Content can be streamed to computers, tablets or smartphones, and can be downloaded to mobile devices to allow for offline viewing any time. You can check out up to 6 items from hoopla each month. RBdigital (Formerly OneClickdigital)
Downloadable audio books and ebooks. Audio books on a variety of topics, including language learning, history, biography, classic literature and more. Ebooks on over 80 classic fiction titles available. Compatible with most iPods and WMA compatible MP3 players.

Kanopy

First time users must create a Kanopy account. before watching any films.

If you are asked to select your library select Charlotte Mecklenburg Library and. then enter your Library Card Number (q + Q-Card number) and Library Card PIN/Password (Your birth year). Next click the "Add Library Card" button. When creating your account, enter your name, email address and select a NEW password. An email will be sent to you with a verification link.

Kanopy is an award-winning video streaming service providing access to more than 30,000 independent and documentary films. Videos can be streamed on your desktop computer, tablets, smartphones, and TV apps. Users can view up to 6 films per month. Once you press play on a film, you have 3 days to view it as many times as you like without using another play credit. Play credits reset on the 1st of the month.
