To complete some assignments (or do your own research), you may need to find materials beyond what your professor assigns for class.

This guide will help you find books, articles, and other media for research in mathematics.

You can also use this and our other research guides to learn to evaluate and cite the sources you find.

A great place to start research is Everett Library's OneSearch, which searches most of the books, journals, and media that we have access to:

Google Scholar searches across many sources outside of Everett Library for scholarly articles. The search works similarly to regular Google, so you don't have to be as precise with your search terms as with library databases.

Not all of the articles in Google Scholar are peer-reviewed, so you will need to evaluate the articles you find for credibility.

Be sure to link Google Scholar to Queens by going to Settings > Library Links to show what items Queens has direct access to.

The content may be freely available online, or Everett Library may subscribe to it.

If you find an article you cannot access through our subscriptions, contact a librarian or submit an Interlibrary Loan request to get a free copy.
