Service Alert
Everett Library relies on our student workers to keep the library open and running on the weekends. There will be no librarian on duty at all on Saturdays and no librarian on duty on Sundays until 7PM.
Whenever there is no librarian on duty, three student workers will be scheduled to work. At no point in time should there be less than two student workers present in the library. If this happens, call a librarian immediately (phone numbers available at front desk).
1. Fifteen minutes before closing, one of the student workers on duty will need to go around each floor of the library and alert any remaining patrons to the fact that "the library will be closing in 15 minutes."
2. Once you are sure the library is empty, tape the "Library is Closed" signs on the inner and outer sliding doors. Signs are located on the bookshelf behind the circulation desk.
3. Turn off all lights in basement.
4.Change PureChat button to "Unavailable" (more on this in the "Email & Chat" tab). Put computer to sleep. Make sure space heater is turned off.
5. Turn off lights in both breaker boxes located on the back wall of the main floor.
6. To lock up the library, flip switch on outer sliding door. Go outside and slide the outer doors closed. Use your key to lock the deadbolt on the outer door.
